Ice also played a part in an accident involving Sara M. Goeke, 20, Harpers Ferry.
On Feb. 9, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Goeke was heading east on Sweet Ridge Road, about eight miles southeast of Lansing, when she attempted to slow for the road’s intersection with Iron Wood Road. Due to ice on the road, her vehicle slid across the road and entered the ditch.
Goeke was transported to Veterans Memorial Hospital by her mother. A passenger in the car was not reported injured.
The 1995 Pontiac Grand Am had damage estimated at $4,000.


Love
Andrea M. Love, 18, Lansing, was involved in a single vehicle incident Jan. 17 south of Lansing.
According to the report, Love was traveling east on Columbus Road when she attempted to negotiate a turn. The vehicle began to slide on the icy roadway and entered the ditch. The truck rolled and came to rest on its top.
Love’s 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 had damages estimated at $4,000.
