Mitchell, Houdek wed in Vegas ceremony

Jennifer Mitchell and Joshua Houdek were married at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.
Jennifer is the daughter of Terry and Ellen Mitchell of Sioux City and Joshua is the son of Kim and Brenda Flatjord of Waukon and Mike Houdek of Burr Oak. Grandparents of the groom are Lester and Betty Stahl of Waukon and Marvin and Ann Houdek of Burr Oak.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, carried a bouquet of peach miniature calla lilies.
Calista Mitchell, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor and Jane Chaussee was a bridesmaid.
Kelly Schutte and the groom’s brother, Caleb Houdek, were the best men.
The altar was decorated with peach roses and miniature calla lilies.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Bellagio for family and friends.
The bride is employed by Wells Fargo Financial of Des Moines. The groom is a member of the Iowa Army National Guard in Des Moines and is currently in Fort Bliss, Texas, awaiting his departure to Iraq in April.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas and reside in Ames.
