Benjegerdes rejoins race for Allamakee County Auditor as Nominated by Petition candidate

Pam Benjegerdes of Waukon has formally announced her candidacy to seek re-election to the office of Allamakee County Auditor as a Nominated by Petition “No Party” candidate. After falling shy of reclaiming the Republican nomination in the June Primary Election, Benjegerdes will rejoin the race for Auditor in the November 6 General Election and will be included on the ballot with two additional candidates for County Auditor, Republican nominee Denise Beyer and Democratic nominee Janice Thorson.
Benjegerdes is the daughter of Gene and Joyce (Nolting) Knox and a lifelong resident of Allamakee County, having grown up in Waukon. She graduated from Waukon High School in 1986 and later attended Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) in Calmar for accounting, including courses in government accounting. She married Greg Benjegerdes in 1986 and was blessed with four children, Brent, Britany, Brea and Brooke. She also is the proud grandmother of four grandchildren.
Benjegerdes is a member of Zion United Church of Christ, where she has served on various committees. She also enjoys participating in local softball and bowling leagues, along with spending time with her family and friends.
Benjegerdes started her career in the Allamakee County Auditor’s Office in October 2002 as a clerk/2nd deputy and was elected as Allamakee County Auditor in November 2008, taking office in January 2009.  Prior to that, while married she was co-owner of Benjegerdes Machine, Inc. for 11 years and involved in the daily operations of the business.
"If re-elected as Allamakee County Auditor, I will bring continued courteous, efficient service you have come to expect," Benjegerdes said. "I provide the knowledge, experience and required certifications to perform the duties of the Auditor."
