Weekend ATV accident claims rural Monona woman

An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident Sunday evening, April 22 claimed the life of Sandra Jane Ehrhardt, age 50, of rural Monona, according to a report from the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office. The report indicates the sheriff's office received a call at approximately 6:56 p.m. Sunday in regard to the accident at 590 Big Foot Road, rural Monona.
According to the report, Ehrhardt was riding the ATV while checking cattle in a farm pasture when the vehicle overturned on a slope, pinning her underneath. She was transported by ambulance to Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, where she was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The accident was investigated by the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office. Assisting at the scene of the accident were Waterville Fire and Rescue and Waterville Ambulance.
