PASTURE WALK TO BE HOSTED BY AREA FARMER

The NE Iowa graziers will host the third pasture walk of the season at the Kevin Amundson farm near Clermont on June 21 at 12:30 p.m. Kevin is grazing stocker cattle on pastures of alfalfa, clover, ryegrass and orchard. Pushing water up 140 feet to the top of the farm will be demonstrated.
To arrive at the farm from Iowa Highway 18 in Clermont, go northwest on Stone St. (south side of the Valley Coop) for .3 mile, then right on Crystal Rd. .9 mile.
A feature of the month is planned for the walks this year. TOM features Marie Johanson, who will discuss grazing chickens for eggs and meat.
