Robert J. (Bob) Gallagher, 63, of Marietta, Georgia, died April 17, 2000 after a sudden illness.
Funeral sevices were held April 24 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Marietta. Fr. Patrick Bishop, Fr. Joseph Morris and Fr. Rafael Castano officiated. Burial was in Kennesau Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta.
Bob was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Chicago, IL. He married Jean (Martindale) Tobin on July 7, 1978, at St. Patrick's Church, St. Charles, IL. He was employed by IBM.
Bob was preceeded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; sons Bill and Tim of Chicago, and Bob (Patti) of Raleigh, NC; daughters Colleen Gallagher and Theresa (George) Byerwalter of Chicago; stepchildren Dawn(Tim) Criswell and Shawn (Mary) Tobin of Carrollton, GA, Kevin (Jamie) Tobin of Cummings, GA, and Mick (Cindy) Tobin of Shakopee, MN; and a brother, Jack Gallagher, of Tuscon, AZ. In addition, Bob has 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Casketbearers were Don, Dan, Jim, and Dane Martindale, Frank Wills and Ron Shupe.
Mayes Ward - Dobbins Funeral Home of Marietta assisted the family.
