James Walleser

James Joseph Walleser, 59, of Lansing died Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, June 3 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lansing with Rev. John Moser as the Celebrant.

James was born October 21, 1957 to Wilfred and Bernice (Wagner) Walleser in Waukon. He graduated from Kee High School in Lansing in 1976.

James was united in marriage with Terri Delaney December 30, 1989 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wexford. They later divorced. He worked as a welder and fabricator at Bituma, Pacal and Dillmans. James was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping and hunting. James was an avid sports fan and loved watching his children participate in athletics.

James is survived by his five children, Kyle Walleser, Brandon Walleser, Makayla Walleser, Joshua Walleser and Dylan Walleser, all of Lansing; his mother, Bernice Walleser of Lansing; seven siblings, Monica Walleser of Westminster, CA, Kenneth (Mary) Walleser of Waterloo, Phyllis (Mike) Martino of La Crosse, WI, Michael Walleser of Lansing, Ronald Walleser of Janesville, WI, Lynn (Mark) Oehler of Cedar Rapids and Neil Walleser of Sun Prairie, WI; and seven nephews.

James was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Walleser, in 2001; and one brother, Duane Walleser.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lansing assisted the family with arrangements.
