The Waukon girls basketball team played through an undefeated week this past week, posting a pair of road victories to begin and end the week to remain undefeated in the new year 2025. The Lady Indians opened the week with a narrow victory at Class 4A Waterloo East Monday, January 13 by a final score of 38-33 before finishing the week pulling away from another otherwise close battle with a pair of strong middle quarters at New Hampton Friday, January 17 for a 58-36 victory.
Holding an 8-5 season record, including a 3-1 mark in Northeast Iowa Conference play to start the second half of that league schedule, the Lady Indians were next scheduled to host Houston, MN Tuesday, January 21 before doing likewise with MFL/MarMac Friday, January 24. The Waukon girls will stay at home Monday, January 27 for a match-up with South Winneshiek before playing at Sumner-Fredericksburg Thursday, January 30 in a game rescheduled from December 19 and then hosting Decorah Friday, January 31.
