Waukon bowling teams fall to strong Decorah squads in road battles

The Waukon bowling teams hit the road for the first time in the new year, traveling the short distance to Decorah Friday, January 17 to compete against Viking squads with a combined 11-1 record on the season, including an undefeated Decorah girls team. Despite some valiant efforts, the bowling Indians weren’t able to add anything to the Vikings’ loss column, as the Waukon girls suffered just their second loss of the season by a 2650-2117 result against the undefeated Lady Vikings, with the Waukon boys also falling by a 2949-2182 final count.

The Waukon bowling teams are next scheduled to host Oelwein Friday, January 24 and Sumner-Fredericksburg Friday, January 31. February will start with the North Central Conference Baker Tournament hosted by Waterloo Columbus Wednesday, February 5 before the bowling Tribe’s dual meet schedule wraps up with a Friday, February 14 match-up at Charles City prior to the bowling Indians competing in their State Qualifying Tournaments February 17-18.
