Waukon girls cross country team claims pair of top-five individual finishes in each grade race at Charles City’s Trent Smith Invitational

The only meet on the schedule for the Waukon girls cross country team this past week featured a unique grade-race format at the Trent Smith Invitational hosted by Charles City Thursday, September 4. The meet featured a combined race for juniors and seniors (11th/12th grades), one for freshmen and sophomores (9th/10th grades) and another for middle school runners (7th/8th grades), with no team scores reported for this year’s meet but the Lady Indians claiming a pair of top-five individual finishes in each of those three races.

The Lady Indians were next scheduled to run at North Fayette Valley Thursday, September 11 before competing at Starmont Tuesday, September 16. The distance Tribe will then host its own home invitational September 23 before competing at Central Springs at Manly September 25.
