“Brunch with Santa” to be held during 34th Annual Christmas Fantasy ... The 2025 “Christmas Vacation” Christmas Fantasy will be held this week, at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion, November 14-17. Again this year, over 100 Christmas gift options will be available on the silent auction, with a new live auction taking place at 7 p.m. Friday night. The Veterans Memorial Health Care Foundation’s Christmas Fantasy 2025 will be held Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, November 14, 15, 16, and 17, at the Allamakee Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon. The fun-filled theme will be, “A Christmas Vacation!”
The Fantasy offers many opportunities to enjoy the event at various times all four days, plus do some Christmas shopping. Over 100 Silent Auction items will be available for bidding, with the highest bidder winning the item at 6 p.m. Monday night, November 17.
New this year, a Live Auction will take place during the Tingle ‘N Mingle event at 7 p.m. Friday night. A limited number of specialty items and fun experiences will be offered at this live auction. These live auction items and many of the silent auction items will be published on the Veterans Memorial Hospital (VMH) Facebook page and website prior to the event; however, all bidding will have to be done at the event itself.
For the second year in a row, ‘Brunch with Santa’ will be offered Sunday from 9 a.m. to Noon serving a full brunch of eggs, ham, fruit, French toast sticks, cheesy hashbrown potatoes, biscuits and gravy and cinnamon rolls, sponsored by the Allamakee County Pork Producers and Jet’s Meats. A cash Mimosa and Bloody Mary Bar will be offered. Reservations may be made by calling 563-568-4177 or walk-ins will be accepted as room allows. Santa will also be available for visits and photos. The cost is $15 per adult, $10 for children under 12 and free for preschool age and younger.
Reservations are also required for the Monday noon luncheon, sponsored by the Allamakee Cattlemen’s Association. A full lunch will be catered by BE Catered and the Nutrition Department at Veterans Memorial Hospital. Feel free to call 563-568-4177 to make a reservation. The cost is $25 per person.
Saturday evening, November 15, will host a special wine, cheese and dessert event sponsored by Eagle’s Landing Winery of Marquette, Empty Nest Winery of Waukon and Madigan Winery of Lansing. The event will begin at 7 p.m. Reservations are required by calling 563-568-4177.
No reservations are needed for the opening event, the Friday evening “Tingle ‘N Mingle” happy hour, held November 14, from 5-8 p.m. This annual Friday night happy hour event is a special opportunity to meet socially with friends and co-workers after work. All-you-can-eat hot and hearty hors d’oeuvres will be served plus desserts, candies, and spirits. Each ticket includes all of the delicious food plus two beverage tickets, as well as a green jello shot to go along with the Christmas Vacation theme. The cost is $25 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
The Christmas Fantasy 2025 event will be open to the public Saturday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, November 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, November 17, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Santa will also be available for a visit and photos all day Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Complimentary Christmas treats and cocoa will be available during all these public showings. Tickets are just $5 each, $2 for children ages 12 and under and Preschoolers are free.
