Waukon High School graduate Laurie Moody one of five breast cancer survivors honored by University of Iowa women’s basketball team at annual Pink Out game

Laurie Moody is a breast cancer survivor and an advocate. She’s a representative on the Postville City Council and the Environmental Health Coordinator for Allamakee County.
And, as of February 11 of this year, she is an honorary member of “The Circle” for the University of Iowa (UI) women’s basketball team. Laurie and four other ladies were selected to honor breast cancer survivors during the Hawkeyes’ annual Pink Out game, played Wednesday, February 11, against the University of Washington at Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.
As a part of the experience, Laurie and this year’s other honorees toured Carver Hawkeye Arena, met the University of Iowa players and staff, spent time with Head Coach Jan Jensen, were part of the legendary Circle during shoot-around, and were also introduced with one of the Iowa starters and to the crowd during the game.
