Kee baseball team’s three wins in seven games include splits with Decorah and at own Shooky Fink Tournament, shut-out UIC victory at Crestwood, 7-0

The Kee baseball team played a total of seven games from Saturday to Saturday of this past week, winning three of those seven games. Prior to the Memorial Day holiday, the Hawks played two games at the Don Bosco Tournament Saturday, May 23, falling to Waterloo Columbus by a final score of 6-4 and also surrendering an 8-3 loss to the host Dons. Kee secured its first win of the season in splitting a home doubleheader with Decorah Monday, May 25, winning game one by an 11-9 result before falling in the nightcap, 6-0. The Hawks recorded a 7-0 win at Crestwood Tuesday, May 26 before wrapping up the week splitting two games at their own Shooky Fink Tournament Saturday, May 30, falling to Class 1A fourth-rated Wapsie Valley, 12-4, but bouncing back with a 7-5 win over Starmont.

The Hawks were next scheduled to host Clayton Ridge in a varsity doubleheader Monday, June 1 and MFL/MarMac in a junior varsity (JV)/varsity double-dip Wednesday, June 3 before playing another JV/varsity affair at Postville Thursday, June 4 and then playing Estherville Lincoln Central at Madrid Saturday, June 6. Kee will then play a JV/varsity match-up at Waukon Wednesday, June 10, before taking on Underwood Thursday, June 11 at the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, and then playing both Davenport Assumption and Bettendorf at the Bettendorf Tournament Saturday, June 13.
