Pamela Dundee

Pamela “Pam” A. Dundee, 68, of Waukon passed away peacefully Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI, surrounded by loved ones. A celebration of life was held at the Freedom Bank basement in Waukon Saturday, September, 19.

Pamela “Pam” Alaine Pothast Dundee was born November 15, 1957, in Waukon, the daughter of Donald and Doris (Ingvalson) Pothast. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church and graduated from Waukon High School in 1976. Following graduation she attended Hawkeye Community College.

October 6, 1979, she married Larry Dundee at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon. Pam and Larry lived in Waukon, where she worked as a dental assistant and then spent the remainder of her career as an education assistant at the Decorah Community Schools and the after-school program in the Allamakee Community School District.

Pam remained active with her class of 1976, and enjoyed staying connected with classmates and planning class reunions. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, having coffee and visiting with friends and family. She looked forward to “Therapy Thursday” with her close friends and going for a drive with Larry, especially in the fall.

Pam’s passion for her family was one of her greatest attributes. Many wonderful times were spent together, visiting on the phone until early morning hours and enjoying all-day shopping excursions, a trait that her mother handed down to her. Pam was dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Her biggest joy was to be surrounded by friends and family.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Dundee of Waukon; two daughters, Stacy (Eric) Wyninger of Waukon and Christie (Jake) Poppe of Plainfield; five grandchildren: Riley Wyninger, Shelby (Trevor Bublitz) Wyninger, and Brynn, Jackson and Bethany Poppe; and one great-grandchild, Berkley Bublitz; a sister, Lynn (Roger) Ellefson of Waterville; and a brother-in-law, Larry Nolting of Johnston. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Doreen Nolting and Lori Tallman.

Honorary urnbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Online condolences may be left at www.martinfunerals.com.
