Birth announcement: Hagen

Lisa and Erik Hagen of Waterville announce the birth of their son, Mark Andrew Hagen, July 23, 2015 at the Open Door Birth Center in Westby, WI. He weighed 8 lbs., 6 ozs. and measured 21-3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins three siblings, Michael (13), Katherine (9) and Hannah (7).
Grandparents are Elmo and Sheri Hagen of Waterville and Willard and Marsha Bieber of Waukon. Great-grandmother is Viola Moen of Waukon.

Sickles, Cole to wed September 5

Floyd (Bob) Sickles Jr. and Julee Seeley, both of Lansing, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Jennifer Sickles, to Danny Cole Jr., son of Dan Cole Sr. of Lansing and Connie Cole of Waukon. The couple plans to exchange vows at 3:30 p.m. September 5 in their barn in rural Lansing. A reception and dance will be held following the ceremony at TJ Hunter’s Banquet Hall in Lansing.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Kee High School, a 2011 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and a 2013 graduate of Upper Iowa University. She is currently employed as the Program Coordinator at TASC, Inc. in Waukon.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Kee High School and is the owner of Cole’s Auto Repair in Lansing.

Gerald and Diane Piittmann celebrate 50th anniversary

Gerald and Diane (LeSage) Piittmann of Waukon were married July 31, 1965 in Morris, MN. They celebrated the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary with a family vacation to Sedona, AZ in July.
They have two children, Jason (Jamie) Piittmann of Kewaskum, WI and Jill (Bill) Poock of Kalona. They also have six grandchildren, Anna, Lia and Dane Piittmann and Kaitlin, Alivia and Emma Poock.

William and Colleen Wuebker to celebrate 50th anniversary

William and Colleen Wuebker of West Bend will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary August 14. Bill and Colleen (Gruber) Wuebker were married August 14, 1965 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Waukon.
An early celebration with mostly family started with a special Mass July 11 and a dinner hosted by their children, Jon Paul (Natalia) Wuebker of Dighton, MA, Tim Wuebker of Olathe, KS, and Maree Wuebker (Roger)Meyers of Pensacola, FL, along with their six grandchildren.

Koenig family reunion Aug. 15

Descendents of Charlotte and Wilhelm Konig, who came from Germany in 1872 (children - Louisa Kaiser, Rosina Ruckdaschel, Louis Koenig, Minnie Poesch, Mary Schroeder, William Koenig, Lena Christofferson, Fred Koenig), are invited to a family reunion Saturday, August 15 at the centennial farm of Laurie and Mike Tallman, 1218 120th Avenue, Castalia.
Guests may arrive at 4 p.m. Shuttle service will be available to the cabin in the woods for a potluck supper beginning at 5 p.m.
Activities will include walking trails, yard games, cookbook distribution and catch-and-release fishing at Lake Ruby  with parental supervision. Fireworks will be at 9 p.m.
Guests are asked to bring their own beverages, lawn chairs and fishing poles.

Grandparents are Randy Huffey of Waterville, Heidi Trofler of Harpers Ferry, Gloria McCabe of Waukon and Dale McCabe of Baraboo, WI. Great-grandparents are George and Jean Huffey of Waterville.

Welsh, Rodas to wed August 1

Craig Rodas and Chelsea Welsh announce their upcoming marriage. The couple plans to exchange vows Saturday, August 1 at Heritage Farm Park in Clermont with a reception and dance to follow at the Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Kevin and Teri Welsh of Waukon. She is a graduate of Waukon Senior High and the University of Northern Iowa and is currently employed at Elliott Jewelers in Waukon.
The groom-elect is the son of Theresa Rodas and the late Alvin Rodas of Monona. He is a graduate of MFL Mar-Mac and Northwest Iowa Community College and is currently employed as a lineman for Utility Lines Construction.
The couple will make their home in Farmersburg.

Lester and Eva Schnabel of Sheffield announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Rebecca Schnabel, to Jared Winkie, son of Brad and Linda Winkie of Waukon. The couple plans to exchange vows August 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton.
The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of West Fork High School and a 2015 graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Business and Finance.
The groom-elect is a 2011 graduate of Waukon Senior High School and a 2015 graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Animal Science.

Heath and Jill Hesse of Tipton announce the birth of their daughter, Veda Lynn Hesse, June 16, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. She weighed 7 lbs., 6 ozs. and measured 20-1/4 inches in length at the time of her birth. She was welcomed home by her brother, Sid.
Grandparents are Tom and Jeri Humpal of Ridgeway and Randy and Lori Hesse of Waukon. Great-grandparents are LaVonne Hesse and Bob and Agnes Anderson, all of Waukon.
