The 2020-2021 season was brought to a close for the Kee girls basketball team Tuesday, February 16 in the quarterfinal round of Class 1A Region 3 Tournament play when the Lady Hawks were dealt a 52-33 loss by East Buchanan in a game played at Central High School in Elkader. The Kee boys basketball team had its 2020-2021 campaign brought to a close by a familiar foe in the opening round of Class 1A District Tournament play when the Hawks traveled to the home of fellow Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) squad Turkey Valley Monday, February 15.

Having earned a split with the Trojans in their two regular season games, this postseason match-up fell more in line with the more recent end of that split, as strong finishes to each half by the host Trojans that limited Kee to single-digit scoring in the second and fourth frames ultimately brought the Hawks’ season to an end by a 60-52 final result.

The loss ends Kee’s season with an even overall mark of 11-11 that included a 9-7 record in the Upper Iowa Conference (UIC), marking the first time since the 2010-2011 season the Hawks posted a winning record in UIC play and placing Kee fifth in the final UIC standings.
