The 62nd annual reunion of the Bulman, Hartley, Sadler and Beardmore families is scheduled for Sunday, July 16 at the Community Center in Eitzen, MN. A potluck meal will be served at 12:30 p.m. with a meeting to follow.

The five Bulman ancestors who came to America from Little Thetford, England in the 1850s were Thomas, George, William, John and their sister, Mary Bulman Sadler. All descendants of these early settlers are cordially invited to attend this reunion meal. Beverages will be provided. Those planning to attend are asked to bring their own table service, family pictures and stories to share.

A Sunday morning church service will be held at the “home church,” Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church, rural New Albin at 9 a.m.

Mike and Cindy Gibbs of Waterville will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this Friday, June 30. Mike Gibbs and Cindy Bushman exchanged vows June 30, 1973 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Clermont.

Their children include Shawn (Danette) Gibbs of Waterville, Chris (Kerri) Gibbs of Waterville, Angie (Bob) Mettille of Waterville, and David (Angela) Gibbs of Waukon. The couple also has fifteen grandchildren.

Dakota and Becca Haefele of Postville announce the birth of their daughter, Spencer Kay Haefele, born June 16, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Seth Lloyd (16) and Sienna Haefele (2).

Grandparents are Pat and JoAnne Haefele of Portage, WI and Rob and Shannon Lloyd of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Keith and Dianne Tebbe of Milwaukee, WI, Erlyss Reckard of Monona, Ernie and Pat Burroughs of Waukon and Mary Westemeier of Dickeyville, WI.

The Colsch Family Reunion and History Day is scheduled for Saturday, July 8 from Noon-5 p.m. at the New Albin Community Center. Descendants of Nicholas and Charlotte (Theobald) Colsch are invited.

Sloppy Joes, buns, silverware, plates, napkins, coffee and bottled water will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a salad, vegetables, dessert, chips or beverages to share.

Old family photos and scrapbooks will be available for viewing. A slideshow presentation of family history will also be shown.

James and Kelli Melcher of Harpers Ferry announce the birth of their daughter, Miley Lynn Melcher, born June 10, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins brothers, Declan (5) and Dayton (2).

Grandparents are Rob and Shannon Lloyd of Harpers Ferry, Jeff and Sara Melcher of Waukon, and Chris and Brian Koth of Elkport. Great-grandparents are Erlyss Reckard of Monona, Ernie and Pat Burroughs of Waukon, Diane and Ralph Mohn of Harpers Ferry, and Karen and Roger Melcher of Harpers Ferry.

Gus and Jeanie Berger of Waukon are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. Gus Berger and Jeanie Moritz exchanged vows June 14, 1958 at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon with Rev. Frank and Carol (Kruger) Sivesind of Waukon will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They exchanged vows June 15, 1963 at Zalmona Presbyterian Church, rural Waukon. In honor of the occasion, a small family gathering is planned.

The Waukon High School Class of 1963 will be holding its 60-year class reunion Saturday, July 8 at 1909 Bluebell Road, Lansing. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour and a class photo at 6 p.m. to be followed by a meal at 6:30 p.m.

Waukon High School graduates from 1959-1964 who would like to attend may contact Robert Metcalf at 563-379-3943 by June 15 to select a meal choice of hamburger, brat or hotdog. Cost is $20 per person.
 

Abraham and Elise Faugstad of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Daniel Robert Faugstad, born June 4, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 4 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings Hilde Grace Faugstad (3) and Bjug Abraham Faugstad (20 months).

Grandparents are Daniel and Julie Faugstad of Redwood Falls, MN and Robert and Rachel Widmer of Yukon, OK. Martha Doepel of Oklahoma City, OK is a great-grandparent.

Tony and Terry Link of Waukon will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. Tony Link and Theresa Kelleher exchanged vows June 14, 1958 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing.
