A 50th wedding anniversary celebration is planned for Steve and Teresa Kauffman Saturday, August 13 from 5-10 p.m. at the Reinbeck Memorial Building, 208 Broad Street in Reinbeck.
Everyone is invited. No gifts are requested.

A family reunion will be held for the families of William and Ellen Manton Saturday, August 6 at the Wexford Hall. A luncheon will be held from 1-5 p.m.

The Manton ancestors came from Ireland in the 1850s. The Manton family included Mary, Sister M. Ramona, Catherine, Joseph, Martin, Thomas and William. All descendants are cordially invited to attend this family reunion.

The 63rd Bulman reunion was held July 17, 2022 with Pastor Paul Burgess of Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church offering the luncheon prayer for the 21 attendees. The family is thankful for the organizers, Grace Bulman and Deb Harguth of Eitzen, MN. Bruce Bulman of Caledonia, MN continues to lead as reunion chairman. Historian Laina Ford suggested getting one email for each branch of the family and encouraging them to pass down the reunion information to their descendants.

There were no first-timers attending the reunion. Greetings were given from Ronda and John Opatt. Deaths reported were Betty Snitker, Merlyn Klocke, James Beardmore, Richard Anderson, Kolby Martin and Margret Herlig. One birth was reported for Hayden Bulman. One marriage was mistakenly unreported for Grace Bulman Manke and Nathan Holdbrook.

Ron and Nancy (Wirkler) Brandt of Waukon are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple married August 12, 1962 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona.

Their family includes children Jim (Maggie) Brandt of Mesa, AZ and Susan (Jeff) Hand of Hiawatha, in addition to four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Tony and Brittany Beneke of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Karsyn Dee Beneke, born May 31, 2022 in La Crosse, WI. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs. at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Kenleigh (6).

Grandparents are Keith and Faye Beneke, Rob Johnson, and Casey and Lynn Larson. Great-grandparents are Wayne and the late Bonnie Johnson and Robert and Gloria Hanson.

Hannah Davis and Russ Brandt of Postville announce the birth of their daughter, Veronica Mae Eleanor Brandt, born May 9, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 2 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Jacobe.

Grandparents are Clyde and Mari Davis of Lincoln, NE and Bob and Beth Brandt of Postville.

Ron and Linda Dahlstrom of Waukon are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple exchanged vows July 8, 1972. The public is welcome to attend a celebration Saturday, July 9 from 5-8 p.m. at the Sweeney Pavilion in the Waukon City Park.

The 63rd annual reunion of the Bulman, Hartley and Beardmore families is scheduled for Sunday, July 17 at the Community Center in Eitzen, MN. A potluck meal will be served at 12:30 p.m. with a meeting and social time to follow.

The five Bulman ancestors who came to America from Little Thetford, England in the 1850s were Thomas, George, William, John and their sister, Mary Bulman Sadler. All descendants of these early settlers are cordially invited to attend this reunion meal. Beverages will be provided. Those planning to attend are asked to bring food to share, their own table service, family pictures and stories. This year a scanner will be available for copying photos, negatives and slides. We will also have room behind the center to show off collector vehicles and there will be door prizes.

This year’s feature display is about the three Bulman brothers who served in World War II. The story takes them from Postville to Alaska to Africa and a German stalag.
