Jacob Mohn and MaKenna Snitker of Farmersburg announce the birth of their daughter, Wryglie Jo Noele Mohn, born May 5, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Gracelyn Jones (8), and a brother, Brekken Mohn (3).

Grandparents are Mary Jo and Roger Mohn of Lansing, Michelle Kishman of Marquette, Robert Snitker of Rossville and Kurt Kishman of Farmersburg.
 

Maria Magner and Rory Deol announce the birth of their daughter, Winona Kaur Magner. She was born February 14, 2022 at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Winona, or Nona as she is fondly called, was 5 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 19 inches long at birth.

The family’s first child, Freya Rose Magner, turns two in June. They currently reside in Tulsa, OK, where Rory completed his doctoral training last summer to become a Medical Examiner.

Maria is the daughter of Jim and Rose Magner of Waukon. Rory is the son of Harbans Deol and Kathy Devine, formerly of Iowa City. In late 2021, Maria was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The family temporarily relocated to Rochester, MN, where they could receive care from experts in cancer treatment during the pregnancy. After almost two months of radiation and chemotherapy, Winona was born. She spent nine days in the NICU but is now thriving.

Eunice and John Kolowinski of Marion are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. John Kolowinski and Eunice Hawkins married May 17, 1952 in Waukon. Their daughters are Rose Kolowinski, Linda Ross, Cindy Frederickson and Tammy Allgor, all of Marion.

An open house hosted by their daughters will be held Saturday, May 21 from 1-4 p.m. at the Eagle Ridge Community Building, 1285 Red Fox Way in Marion. In honor of the occasion, cards and well wishes may be sent to 1739 Huron Drive, Marion, IA 52302. The couple requests no gifts.
 

Veronica Santoyo and Mario Hernandez of Postville announce the birth of their son, Mateo Julian Hernandez, born April 27, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Sophia Hernandez (2).

Grandparents are Amber Beckman and Jesus Vargas of Postville and Laurie and Brian Dahl of Ossian. Great-grandparents are Bonnie Stifel of Postville and Clifford Harnack of Ossian.

Eunice and John Kolowinski of Marion are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. John Kolowinski and Eunice Hawkins married May 17, 1952 in Waukon. Their daughters are Rose Kolowinski, Linda Ross, Cindy Frederickson and Tammy Allgor, all of Marion.

Don and Mary Meyer and Jeremy and Lana Troendle, all of Waukon, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Thea Meyer and Austin Troendle, both of Waukon. The couple will exchange vows Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon.

The bride-to-be is a 2015 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2018 graduate of Upper Iowa University in Fayette with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is a first grade teacher at St. Patrick School in Waukon.

The groom-to-be is a 2013 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2017 graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids with Bachelor’s degrees in Athletic Training and Strength & Conditioning. He also earned his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Clarke University in Dubuque in 2020. He is a physical therapist/athletic trainer at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon.

Amber and Andrew Sandvick of Navarre, FL announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Rose Sandvick, born March 27, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She weighed 8 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Oliver (4) and Ivy (2).

Grandparents are Dean and Mary Jackson of Waukon, John and Mollie Wetherill of Norwalk, OH and Jerry and Karen Sandvick of Navarre, FL. Edith Johnson of Spring Grove, MN is a great-grandparent.

Seth and Brittany Bulman of Dorchester announce the birth of their daughter, Hayden Marie Bulman, born April 17, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 10 lbs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins sisters, Hailey Grace (5) and Harper Ann (2).

Grandparents are Don and Deb Burrichter of New Albin and David and Connie Bulman of Dorchester. Great-grandparents are Harriet Instefjord of Verona, WI, Grace Bulman of Eitzen, MN, Marylou Burrichter of Eitzen, MN, and Dale and Elaine Reiser of Dorchester.
 

Charles and Tristin Hennessey of Monona announce the birth of their daughter, Leighton Jo Hennessey, born April 16, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 ozs. at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Lorelai (2).

Kristen Fravel and Austin Leiran of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Laycii Leiran, born April 10, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Luke Fravel (4).

Grandparents are Diane Fravel of Clarksville, Jenny Behn of Dorchester and James Leiran of New Albin. Gary Leiran of Frankville is a great-grandparent.
