Frank Boese

Frank F. Boese, 76, of Waukon died Monday, April 7, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at the Postville Cemetery, Postville.
Frank Frederick, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Freeman) Boese, was born October 16, 1937 in Postville. He attended Postville Schools.  Frank worked as a custodian for 12 years at the Northgate Nursing Home in Waukon. He also worked for several years at Iowa Turkey Products in Postville. In the fall of 1992, Frank started working at the Recycling Center in Waukon.
Frank’s joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing.  Frank was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Twins. He liked to go for walks and he loved to go to Branson, MO. Frank was a very giving person to his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
Frank is survived by his sister, Katherine Glick of Anamosa; his sister-in-law, Jane Boese of Davenport; his cousins, Merlin Boese of Waukon and Charles (Judy) Boese of Decorah; and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy; his brothers, Robert, Harold “Cub”, Leo, Donald, John and Edward Boese; his sister, Dorothy Johnson; and his cousins, Keith, Allen, Kenneth, Gene and Florence Boese, and Marion Reierson.
