Jessica M. Mulholland, 24, of Lansing passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at her home in Lansing. Funeral Services were held Friday, August 16 at Thornburg- Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Lansing, with Rev. John Moser as celebrant. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing.
Jessica Marie Mulholland, the daughter of Dan and Cathy (Guider) Mulholland, was born November 3, 1988 in LaCrosse, WI. She graduated from Kee High School in Lansing in 2007 and attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City and Clarke University in Dubuque. She worked as a certified nurse’s aide and in the Activity Department at Thornton Manor Care Center in Lansing.
Jessie had a knack for taking care of people and her life revolved around her loved ones - it made her happy to make others happy. Jessie was kind-hearted and loving; if anyone came to her with a problem, she would do absolutely anything she could to make it better. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crafts (in particular for the residents of Thornton Manor), playing cards and board games, and receiving Grumpy Cat memos from her Uncle Steve.
In addition, Jessie had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and gentle hands that absolutely loved holding babies. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, and spoiling her Basset Hound, Louie.
Jessie is survived by her parents, Dan and Cathy Mulholland of Lansing; three sisters, Danielle Mulholland of Des Moines, Katie Mulholland of Oceanside, CA, and Shayla Mulholland of Lansing; her paternal grandmother, Barb Mulholland of Lansing; her maternal grandfather, Tom Guider of Lansing; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Jessie was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Everette “Fats” Mulholland; her maternal grandmother, Marion Guider; and three uncles, Steve Mulholland, Jeff Guider and David Guider.
"Many times in our lives we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We often feel as though we are not worthy. But no matter what has happened, or will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you will always be priceless to us." A quote from Jessie…
