Lawrence Stluka

Lawrence E. Stluka, age 85, of rural Prairie du Chien, WI passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, February 25 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, with Rev. Victor Feltes officiating and burial in the Campbell Cemetery, all in Eastman, WI.
Lawrence was born July 24, 1928 in Eastman, WI, the son of Edward and Mertie (Pintz) Stluka. He married Joanne Lessard October 3, 1951 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien, WI. She preceded him in death September 23, 2005. He farmed his entire life and loved gardening. Lawrence was a seed corn dealer for DeKalb Seed.
He is survived by his son, Larry (Carrie) of Wauzeka, WI; his daughters, Doris Bedward of De Soto, WI, Lois (Nick) Jones of Waukon and Nancy (Larry) Bedward of Woodman, WI; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and his faithful companions, Sassy, Gracie and Lucky. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his daughter-in-law, Kristine; his brothers, Elmer and Jerry; his sisters, Rosella Joab and Alma Wall; along with two grandsons, Brian Bedward and Wyatt Stluka.
