Letter to the Editor: I think you should know

To the Editor:
Mr. Harkin is about retire a very, very rich man and I think you should know this about him. At one time he thought he wanted to president of the U.S.A.,  I thought it would be nice to have man from Iowa in the White House. So at a gathering of locker plant owners in Wisconsin, I made remark that was supporting Mr. Harkin. The president of the Wisconsin locker association (Mr. Ken Bisarek) overheard my remarks (at the time I did not know him) and he jumped up and came over to me face to face and called me a dumb S.OB., don’t you know that Harkin’s was deciding vote regarding us small locker plants going interstate with our meat products? Since then I have become very good friends with Ken  and Chris Bisarek; I regard as very high caliber people. Harkin voted against the meat law because he was instructed to do by the union. The small locker plants are family operated and are non-union. The small locker plants are struggling and over 50%  have locked their doors. Do you think that Harkin would ever be investigated for his great wealth? Of course not - both sides of the aisle are all retiring very rich hand are still getting lots of expensive benefits at great cost to the tax payer. Harkin calls him self a Catholic, yet he votes supporting abortion and all the other government sex programs. Now think about this, Harkin’s was the determining vote on the interstate meat law, which is still in effect, to be that close a vote, you know that some Republicans voted with Harkin. I would like to know how many Republicans voted that way and their names; they are called RINOs. The interstate meat law should be repealed immediately. I hope that sometime going forward our congress will repeal all the benefits they are receiving after leaving office. They are all very wealthy. They want us to tighten our belts, why don’t they lead by example? What do you think?
