Letter to the Editor: Give a local couple a chance

To the Editor:
Reading most of the Supervisors minutes made me think of the past when the Dorchester school was closing and many pondered what to do with the building. I suggested the Board contact someone to see if there was interest in opening/operating a place for alcoholic women. There are so many socialites who have this problem and if they knew there was a place to go with privacy, beautiful surrounding, healthy atmosphere, etc. The Supervisors just looked at me.
At this time there is a couple who have approached the Board with another suggestion somewhat of this nature.
It would be a project that would employ some local people. Bring a few more taxes to the county and the tax payers would embrace the Supervisors for giving a local couple a chance to engage in a private endeavor.
