Mary Ellen Severson

Mary Ellen Severson, 89, of Lansing died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23 at the Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lansing. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 23 from 10-11 a.m. at the Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lansing.
Mary was born February 25, 1925 to William and Rose (Thompson) Severson in Lansing. She spent her childhood in Lansing and graduated in the class of 1942 in the Lansing Public School.
In 1944, Mary Ellen moved to Minneapolis, MN where she made her home with her mother and worked for many years. She retired October 31, 1987 and moved back to Lansing August 1, 1988. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the P.E.O. Sisterhood for years.
There are no immediate survivors. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be directed to Lansing Ambulance Service or the Lansing Lions Club.
