Rachael Marie Gannon, originally of Coralville and currently residing in Decorah, and Aaron Thomas Palmer of Waukon announce their engagement and upcoming wedding scheduled to take place January 22, 2022 at Village Creek Bible Camp in rural Lansing.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mike and Denise Gannon of Coralville and is a 2008 graduate of West High School in Iowa City and a 2012 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) with a degree in elementary and middle-level math and science education. She is currently employed as the Assistant Vice President and Branch Lending Manager at FreedomBank in Decorah.

The groom-elect is the son of Greg and Marlene Palmer of Waukon and is a 2005 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2009 graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in agricultural business. He is currently employed as the Territory Sales Manager for northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota at STgenetics.

Caity Johnson and Bobby Schultz exchanged wedding vows Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City with Pastor Phil Webb as officiant.

The bride’s parents are Marty and Carla Johnson of Stratford. Her grandparents are Carlene and Rolf Solbach, and the late John Bergquist and Gerald Johnson and Kayleen Rademacher and the late Kay Johnson.

The groom’s parents are Kent and Donna Schultz of Frankville. His grandparents are Doris Eglseder and the late Bob Eglseder and the late Byron and Darlene Schultz.

The bride graduated from Webster City High School and Clarkson College in Nebraska. She is employed at Winneshiek Medical Center as a Nurse Practitioner.

The groom is a graduate of Postville High School and is engaged in farming.

The couple are making their home in rural Frankville.

The bride-to-be is a 2014 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2018 graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelors Degree in History and Political Science. She is employed as a Social Studies teacher at North Fayette Valley High School in West Union.

The groom-to-be is a 2013 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2015 graduate of Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) in Calmar with an Associates Degree in Agricultural Business. He is employed by Valley Ag in New Albin.

40th wedding anniversary for Mark and Barbara Howe

Mark and Barbara (Ferring) Howe of Waukon will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. The couple exchanged vows November 7, 1981 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon.

Their children include Justin (Ami) Howe of Oxford, Matt Howe of New Albin and Emily (Jesse) Spors of Marion. They have 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
