Terry Kolsrud and Shawna Peterson, both of Waukon, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding to take place Saturday, November 6, 2021. A private ceremony with family is planned with a dance open to the public to follow from 6-10 p.m. at The Barn in Prairie du Chien, WI.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Al Peterson and Sara Ghan, both of Lansing. The groom-elect is the son of Bernard and the late Lorna Kolsrud of Waukon.
 

Mark and Barbara (Ferring) Howe of Waukon will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. The couple exchanged vows November 7, 1981 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon.

Their children include Justin (Ami) Howe of Oxford, Matt Howe of New Albin and Emily (Jesse) Spors of Marion. They have 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Brent and Denise Beyer of Waukon are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. The couple was married October 19, 1996 at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon. Their children are Claire and Brady.

Norbert Palmer of Waukon was celebrated July 18 by his family and friends with a 90th birthday party lunch. His entire immediate family was there, as well as many relatives, neighbors and long-time friends, some who came from afar for the party. Norbert was born on Big Foot Road July 18, 1931, and grew up farming with his parents, Emmett and Evelyn Palmer, and then farmed with his wife of 59 years, Nola (nee Enyart). Roger John Valley will be honored at his 80th birthday celebration to be held October 30 at the City Lounge in Lansing. The gathering will begin at 3 p.m. with family and friends all being welcome.

Arlene Rooney of Waukon celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends Saturday, October 16. Her birthday is Tuesday, November 2.

Shane and Liz Murphy of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Lachlan Michael Murphy, born October 14, 2021 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. and measured 21-3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Miles (5) and Mila (3).

Grandparents are Tom and Angela Weighner of Waukon and Randy and Lisa Murphy of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Clair and Cathy Wagner of Lansing and Grace Murphy of Waukon.
 

Mitchell Iseli and Nicole Cowell would like to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding to take place October 23, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Lansing.

The groom-to-be is the son of Arthur and Lori Iseli of Waukon. He is employed at Reel Core in Waukon.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dave and Bobbie Jo Cowell of Waukon. She is employed as a Quality Technician at Aveka Nutra Processing in Waukon.

A dance will be open to the public from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon.
