Ted and Kori Troendle of Postville announce the birth of their daughter, Ava Sue Troendle, born December 16, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Tierney (2).

Grandparents are Doug and Teresa Berg of Postville and Ron and Susan Troendle of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Sharon Decker and Betty Troendle, both of Waukon.

Elsa Hager of Waukon will be celebrating her 90th birthday December 30.

Jamie and BreeAnna McCarthy of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Haven McCarthy, born December 15, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 9 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Jordan (3).

Larry and JoAnn Gelo of Waukon are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary December 12. The couple was united in marriage at First Baptist Church in Waukon.

They have three children: Michele (Jim) Wood, Shayne (Edna) Gelo and Shawn Gelo; nine grandchildren: Brittany (Nick) Tilleraas, Taylor (Michelle) Wood, Logan Wood, Kaela (Cole) Langreck, Kortney Wood, and Aliana, Evan, Abhram and Evelyn Gelo; and three great-grandchildren: Dallas and Wade Tilleraas and Daxon Wood.

Evelyn Beardmore, formerly  of Waukon, will be celebrating her 100th birthday December 22. Evelyn relocated to Kansas in 2010 to be closer to family.
