Shanna and Andy Snitker of Bondurant announce the birth of their son, Arthur Brandt Snitker, born August 1, 2019 in Des Moines. He weighed 7 lbs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Connie and Dale Brandt of Waverly and Shirley and Greg Snitker of Waukon.
 

Brian and Lori Gardner of Lancaster, WI, parents of the bride-to-be, and Jeff and Sara Melcher of Waukon and Brian and Chris Koth of Elkport, parents of the groom-to-be, wish to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Brianna Gardner and Jared Melcher, to take place September 14 at Vesperman Farms near Lancaster, WI with a reception to follow at the same location.

The bride-to-be is a 2013 graduate of Lancaster High School and a 2018 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is employed as a second grade teacher at Fennimore Elementary School in Fennimore, WI.

The groom-to-be is a 2012 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2017 graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Engineering. He is employed as an automation engineer at Lancaster Machine and Tool in Lancaster, WI.
 

All branches and siblings of the Wilhelm/William Jarchow Sr. family are welcome to attend the 89th Annual Jarchow Family Reunion. The reunion will be held September 8 at the Methodist Church located one block north of the bank in Hawkeye. A potluck dinner is scheduled at noon with a meeting to follow with visiting and family stories.

Ed and Amy Bieber of Waukon, parents of the bride-to-be, and Gerald and Laurie Brink of Waukon and Cary and Lori Erickson of Decorah, parents of the groom-to-be, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of Lexie Bieber and Nick Brink, both of Waukon. The ceremony will take place August 31, 2019 in Waukon with a dance at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion from 8-12 p.m.
 

Ken and Charlene West of Waukon will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary August 30. Ken West and Charlene Jahnke were married at the United Methodist Church in Lewis August 30, 1969.

They have one son, Kenneth Alan, of Castro Valley, CA. The couple will be celebrating their wedding anniversary with their son in San Francisco, CA and in the Napa Valley.
 

Tom and Julie Christensen of Lansing, parents of the bride-to-be, and Todd and Kandra Blake of Waukon, parents of the groom-to-be, wish to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of Abigail Christensen and Wyatt Blake of Waukon. The wedding will be held September 7, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hanover.

The bride-to-be is a 2015 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2017 graduate of Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) in Calmar with degrees in Agriculture Business and Agriculture Production. She is employed at Cyclone 1 Swine Division in New Albin.

The groom-to-be is a 2013 graduate of Waukon High School and is employed by the City of Waukon with the Water and Sewer Department. He is also an owner/operator of TW Dozing in  Waukon.
 

Paty and Arturo Martinez of Postville announce the birth of their son, Adiel Martinez, born August 15, 2019 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 15 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins brothers, Xander (11), Aleck (7), Renik (7) and Ian (4).

Grandparents are Martha and Isael Campos and Ludivina and Aureliano Martinez.

Craig and Chelsea Rodas of Farmersburg announce the birth of their daughter, Landry Ann Rodas, born August 15, 2019 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 6 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, McCoy (2).

Grandparents are Kevin and Teri Welsh of Waukon, the late Alvin Rodas and Theresa Rodas of Monona. Great-grandparents are Mary Fink of Waukon, Sara Welsh of Cresco, Shirley Marmann of Farmersburg and Jeanine Rodas of Elkader.

Alec and Ellicha Seibert of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Jayden KayJean Seibert, born August 21, 2019 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Jennifer (2).

Grandparents are Jerry and Angela Stussy of Lansing, Rhonda Seibert of Decorah and Howard Seibert of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Richard and Edith Bloxham of Waukon and John and Glenda Roberts of De Soto, WI.

Mike and Frannie Decker of Waukon, parents of the bride-to-be, and Tim and Jill Heiderscheit of New Albin, parents of the groom-to-be, wish to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of Erin Decker of Waukon and Coady Heiderscheit of New Albin. The wedding will take place September 7, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin.

The bride-to-be is a 2011 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2015 graduate of Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and is employed as a Registered Nurse on the Surgical and Digestive Care Unit at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI

The groom-to-be is a 2010 graduate of Kee High School and a 2012 graduate of Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Water Environmental Technology and is employed by PeopleService in Lansing as a Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator.
