Emily Prestemon of Colesburg and Brad Streicher of Edgewood exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony at Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon July 11, 2020. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Mike Jackson of Edgewood.

The bride is the daughter of Dave and Gail Prestemon of Waukon.  She is the granddaughter of the late Lloyd and Delores Dehning and the late Jim and Alta Prestemon. Emily graduated from Waukon High School and Iowa State University.  She is currently a Kindergarten teacher in the Edgewood-Colesburg School District in Colesburg.  

Marshall and Stephanie Iverson of Lansing announce the birth of their daughter, Ruby June Iverson, born November 25, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Hank (7), Hazel (5) and Rosie (3).

Grandparents are Tom and Angela Weighner, Connie and Charlie Regan, and Jim Iverson and Annie Riehm. Great-grandparents are Clair and Cathy Wagner and Ruth Vine.

Meagan Lanz of Waukon announces the birth of her son, Koen Dean Adkins, born November 23, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Kaiden (11) and Savanah (9).

Grandparents are Lorry and Victor Adkins of Knoxville.

Betty White of Waukon will be celebrating her 90th birthday November 30.

Dustin and Liz Baumler of Ossian announce the birth of their son, Conner Joseph Baumler, born November 12, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Raelynn (3).

Grandparents are Dave and Janette Heitman of Lansing and Natalie Hemesath of Ossian. Great-grandparents are Jim and Dorothy Waters of New Albin and William Baumler of Ossian.

Matt and Marcia Beisker of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Journi Rae Lynn Beisker, born November 6, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Dylan Christensen (13), Westin Beisker (8) and Madilyn Beisker (16 months).

Ashley Pomeroy and Cameron Jones of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Kinslee-Grace Danette Jones, born October 30, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 6 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Evelynn-Rose Pomeroy (4).

Grandparents are Dwight and Danette Jones of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Betty Welsh of Lansing and Katey and Dayton Jones of Waukon Junction.

Emily Hammel of Dorchester and Mitchell Drey of Gretna, NE announce their engagement and upcoming wedding scheduled to take place Saturday, June 26, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon. A reception in Calmar will follow the ceremony.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Charles and Deborah Hammel of Dorchester and is a 2016 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2020 graduate of Iowa Wesleyan University. She is employed at Truman Elementary School in Cedar Rapids as a K-5th grade P.E. teacher.

The groom-elect is the son of Charles and Amy Drey of Gretna, NE and is a 2013 graduate of Gretna High School and also graduated from Iowa Wesleyan University with a Bachelor degree in 2018 and a Masters degree in 2020. He is employed at St. James Elementary School in Washington as a Pre-K-5th grade P.E. teacher and at Hillcrest Academy, Kalona as a Health/P.E. teacher and as Assistant Athletic Director.
