Bernice Walleser of Lansing will be celebrating her 90th birthday. An open house hosted by her children will take place Saturday, August 17 from 2-4 p.m. at Thornton Manor in Lansing with cake and ice cream being served.

Paul and Lindsey Deason of Harpers Ferry announce the birth of their son, William Paul Deason, born July 31, 2019 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Kaylin (6), Mitchell (4) and Nicholas (1-1/2).

Grandparents are Steve Deason of Cedar Rapids, Chris Deason of Cedar Rapids, Jeff and Andrea Mitchell of Waterville and Pam Mitchell of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Sue Freese of Waukon, Ray and Lorraine Mitchell of Rossville and Myrtle Gilbert of Cedar Rapids.

Robert J. (Bob) and Agnes (Johnson) Anderson of Waukon will be celebrating their 73rd wedding anniversary. The couple was married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon August 11, 1946.

They are the parents of three children: Linda (Dean) Krambeer of Pine Island, MN, Larry (Maggie) Anderson of Brainerd, MN and Lori (Randy) Hesse of Waukon. They are the grandparents of Cori, Dena, Tom, Russ, Josh, Zach, Heath and Heidi, and they have nineteen great-grandchildren.

Nathan and Perscilla Beechy of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Margaret N. Beechy, born July 27, 2019 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Joe and Orpha Hochstetler of Waukon and Mattie Beechy of Bertha, MN. Great-grandparents are Henry and Sylvia Lambright of New Auburn, WI and Elizabeth Hochstetler of Waukon.
 

The descendants of James and Elizabeth Bulman met for their 61st annual reunion at the Eitzen Community Center July 21. Twenty-nine descendants along with honorary family member Pastor Paul Burgess of Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church met for a potluck meal, fellowship and a brief meeting.

Grace Bulman, along with Brad and Deb Harguth, graciously arranged and set up the center for the family. The business meeting was chaired by Vickie Roeske of New Albin.

Greetings were received from Ronda and John Oppatt, descendants who reside in Strathalbyn, Australia. Five new descendants were recorded for the family history and one marriage. Anyone with additions to the tree are encouraged to contact Bulmanreunion@gmail.com.

The Livingood Family Reunion will be held at the Freedom Bank basement (formerly Farmers and Merchants Bank) in Waukon Sunday, August 11 with a potluck dinner at noon. Beverages will be furnished. Arrive early for visiting.

Friends and relatives are invited and are encouraged to be part of this event to help make this reunion as big as the reunions held years ago at the Stone House built by the family’s ancestors.
 

The Anderson Busness Family Reunion will be held Sunday, August 11 at the restored barn at the home of Robert and Eunice Kolsrud located at 1275 Gjefle Drive, Waukon. All family members are invited for a potluck dinner to be served at 12:30 p.m. which will include broasted chicken, with plates, cups, utensils and beverages provided.

Those attending are asked to bring a vegetable, salad or dessert to share. Local family members are requested to invite immediate family members residing outside the area.

A short program will follow dinner and will provide an opportunity to share information to update the family history. Those attending should bring a favorite memory or story of an ancestor to share.
 

The Viroqua High School Class of 1969 50-year Reunion will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, August 10 at Gassers in Viroqua, WI. Classmates interested in attending should contact Chris Hendrickson at chrisser51@gmail.com or by calling 608-444-7986.

This will be an informal event with food and a bar with an assortment of beverages. Individuals who respond will be provided additional information prior to the event. Anyone with contact information about members of the Class of 1969 is asked to pass this reunion information along to them.  All assistance is appreciated.
