The Aure family reunion will be held Sunday, June 23 at the Old West Paint Creek Church basement with a potluck lunch starting at Noon. Those attending the reunion are welcome to attend the 8:30 a.m. worship service.

Maxine Campbell of Waukon celebrated her 90th birthday June 4. In honor of the occasion, an open house will be held Sunday, June 16 from 1-3 p.m. at the Freedom (formerly Farmers & Merchants Savings) Bank Community Room located at 201 West Main Street in Waukon.
 

Roger and Delores (Ashbacher) Klocke will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 29 from 1-4 p.m. Their family will be hosting the celebration at Amvets Post 49 in Cedar Falls. They were married June 19, 1959 at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Ludlow township of Allamakee County.

Roger is retired from John Deere and the Iowa National Guard located in Waterloo. Delores is retired from Maple Lanes, where she was employed as a childcare worker. They have four children, nine grandchildren,  14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Jodi and Jeremy Peake of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Byron Isaiah Peake, born May 8, 2019 at the Trillium Midwifery Birth Center in Prairie du Chien, WI. He weighed 9 lbs. 2 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins sisters, Molly (12), Leah (7-1/2), and sister in heaven, Ann Renea (1-1/2).

Grandparents are the late Sandy Peake, Al and Cathy Peake of Decorah and Jay and Chris Gaunt of Grinnell. Great-grandparents are Meg Schaller and JoAnn Peake, both of Waukon.

The Waukon High School Class of 1959 will hold its 60-year reunion Saturday, September 14 at the Empty Nest Winery at 1352 Apple Road,Waukon.

Maury and Kay Mooney of Harpers Ferry will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 8. Their anniversary will be recognized at the Wexford Church Mass Sunday, June 9 at 7:30 a.m. Their children are Erin (Brad) Berns of Waukon, Greg (Erin) Mooney of West Salem, WI and the late Mark Mooney. The couple also has seven grandchildren, who are pictured with them in the photo above. The entire family will be celebrating the couple’s 60th anniversary at a cabin in northern Minnesota in July. Lyle and Virginia (Hill) Hanson of Decorah will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married June 7, 1969 at Canoe Ridge Lutheran Church, Decorah.

An open house celebration will be hosted by their children and spouses Friday, June 7 from 7-9 p.m. at the City Club in Waukon. Family, friends and neighbors are invited to wish the couple congratulations. No gifts are requested.

Their children are Kevin (Liz) Hanson of Waukon, Jason (Angie) Hanson of North Liberty and Aaron (April) Hanson of Greene. Grandchildren are Shelby, Connor, Ryan, Calvin, Jack, Sawyer, Kellen, Brooklyn and Finn.

In honor of Everett Stahl’s 90th birthday, a celebration is planned for Saturday, June 15 from 1-5 p.m. at Milty’s, 200 Main Street in Lansing.
