Valerie and Josh Miller of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Ellison Bristol Miller, born June 24, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 10 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins brothers, Eddie (5) and Harry (3).

Grandparents are Dave and Laurie Martin of Waukon and Suzie and Denny Miller of Chillicothe, IL. Great-grandparents are Arlene Martin of Waukon, Joyce Young of Chillicothe, IL and Irene Miller of Arkansas.

Beverly and the late Bradford Krambeer of Waukon announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Carly Krambeer, to Brandon Trausch, son of Robert and Jill Trausch of Webster City.  The couple plans to exchange vows August 4 in Waukon.

The bride is a 2011 graduate of Waukon High School and a 2015 graduate of Allen College. She is employed as a registered nurse at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.

The groom is a 2011 graduate of Webster City High School and a 2014 graduate of Hawkeye Community College.  He is employed as a welder at McNeilus Trucking and Manufacturing in Dodge Center, MN.

The couple plans to reside in Rochester, MN.
 

The descendants of Johann Meiners (ca 1665) will be meeting for the first time at the Eitzen Community Center in Eitzen, MN Sunday, July 8 from 2-5 p.m. Those whose last name is Meiners or who have an ancestor by that name are invited.

The Shefelebine/Schiefelebine family reunion is scheduled for September 23, 2018 with a noon meal at the Eitzen Community Center in Eitzen, MN.

Those attending are encouraged to be there early and stay late to meet the families of John Henry (Schiefelebine) Shefelebine and his wife, Pauline Freuner. Their eight children included: Augusta married Fred Schroeder, William married Frances Wenig, John Henry, Jr. married Eliza Bulman, Minnie (Wilhelminia) married George Wenig, Jr., Albert (Tex) married Clara Goodno, Emil married Clara Horgen, Henry Garland married Lizzie Luehr and Emma married Ephiriam Burroughs.

Coffee, lemonade, tea, water and tableware will be furnished. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and family stories to share.

The Dundee reunion is scheduled for Saturday, July 28 at 11 a.m. and will take place at the Waukon City Park Jaycee shelter.

Surnames of families related to the Dundee family include Bray, Ewing, Powell, Hastings, Beall, Baker and Snitker, among others. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share.

Paul and Danielle Bakewell of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Hudson James Bakewell, born June 21, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Ella (4) and Cooper (2).

Grandparents are Jim and Joyce Bakewell of Ossian and Les and JoAnn Lang of Monona. Joan Schissel of Ossian is a great-grandparent.

Halsey Darling and Adam Sadewasser of Guttenberg announce the birth of their son, Will Simon Sadewasser, born June 7, 2018 at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, WI. He weighed 7 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 20.6 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Pearl (18 months).

Grandparents are Dave and Sandy Darling  of New Albin and Matt and Beth Sadewasser of Guttenberg.

Jim and Mary Wachter of Harpers Ferry celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 9 with a family gathering held at the couple’s home.

They were married June 13, 1953 at Cherry Mound, Harpers Ferry.
 

Mike and Cindy Gibbs of Waterville will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary June 30. Mike Gibbs and Cindy Bushman exchanged vows June 30, 1973 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Clermont.

Their children include Shawn (Danette) Gibbs of Waterville, Chris (Kerri) Gibbs of Waterville, Angie (Bob) Mettille of Waterville and David (Angela) Gibbs of Waukon. The couple also has fifteen grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate later this summer with a trip with their children and grandchildren.
