Heather Azurdia of Elgin announces the birth of her son, Anthony Ryan Dahl-Azurdia, March 16, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs., 12.8 ozs. and measured 22-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins three siblings, Alex (9), Addison (4) and Aiden (3).
Grandparents are Arlene Fuller of Postville, Jeff and Val Dahl of Iowa City and Lazaro and Laura Azurdia of Guatemala. Great-grandparents are Norman and Gloria Duvel of Waukon and Maurice and Avon Dahl of Hesper.

Stuart and Amanda Bloxham of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Grant Huber Bloxham, March 14, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs., 8 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Claire (5).
Grandparents are Paul and Lynn Jones of Harpers Ferry and Brad and Vicki Bloxham of Dorchester. Great-grandparents are LeRoy and Bonnie Jones of Harpers Ferry, Neil and the late Virginia Meyer of Monona and Richard and Edith Bloxham of Waukon.

Bradley and Rachel Welch of Luana announce the birth of their daughter, Paisley Ann Welch, March 13, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 5 lbs., 1.6 ozs. and measured 18-/12 inches in length at the time of her birth.
Grandparents are Mike and Lori Vorwald of McGregor, Kaaren and Darryl Schlitter of Monona and Kevin Welch and Lori Trappe of Monona. Great-grandparents are Harold and Joanne Vorwald of Monona.

Zach Chase and Tabitha Djurnevec of Elkader announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Deanna Chase, March 14, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 4 lbs., 5.6 ozs. and measured 17 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins three siblings, Jadelynn (6), Jensen (5) and Jaxon (4).
Grandparents are Junell and Scott Chase of Farmersburg and Joe and Debbie Pozanc of Monona. Great-grandparents are Bernell and June Larson of Monona, Carol Chase of Farmersburg and James and Karon Hendrickson of Tennessee.

Kelly and Brian Hilsabeck of Lansing announce the birth of their daughter, Kinley Renee Hilsabeck, March 7, 2015 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. She weighed 7 lbs., 7.9 ozs. and measured 19-3/4 inches in length at the time of her birth.
Grandparents are Roger and Mary Reed of Lansing, Kirk Hilsabeck of Lansing and Cindy Hilsabeck of Strawberry Point.

Janel Clauson of Spring Grove, MN and Mark Benda of Waukon announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. They plan to exchange vows June 6 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Waukon. A reception will be held following the ceremony at the Waukon Banquet Center.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Neil Clauson and Anita Clauson, both of Spring Grove, MN. She is a graduate of Spring Grove Public School and St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN. She is currently employed at Waukon State Bank.
The groom-elect is the son of Paul and Kathy Benda of Waukon. He is a graduate of Waukon Senior High School and is currently employed by Matt Benda Concrete Construction.

Bethany Hammel of Dorchester and Eric Dunbar of East Dubuque, IL were joined in marriage September 27, 2014  at St. Mary’s Hanover Catholic Church, Waukon.
The bride is the daughter of David and Karla Hammel of Dorchester. She attended Waukon Senior High School and is a 2009 graduate of Loras College with a degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently employed as a CMA at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque.
The groom is the son of Jim Avery and Rhonda Dunbar and the late Jack Dunbar, all of East Dubuque, IL. He attended East Dubuque High School and is now the owner of Dunbar Enterprises.

Waukon High School’s Class of 1961 will meet Wednesday, March 25 at 11:30 a.m. at Mulligan’s in Waukon.

Abdiyo Hussein and Hassan Muhumed of Postville announce the birth of their daughter, Zahra Hassan Osman, March 6, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs., 2.6 ozs. and measured 18 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins five siblings, Deko Aden (16), Ali Aden (19), Umelkheyir Aden (6), Noah Aden (9) and Sham Sodlin Osman (2).

Tom and Jessica McNamara of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Peyton Hope McNamara, March 10, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs., 3 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at birth. She joins a sister, Lexie (4).
Grandparents are Pat and Kathy McNamara of Waukon, Donna Bulman of Cresco and David Bulman of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Lois McNamara of Anamosa, Lois Greif of Coggon and Dan and Virginia McGuire of Clermont.
