Cody and Jill Mathis of New Albin announce the birth of their son, Collin David Mathis, November 3, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs., 14 ozs. and measured 21-3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Layla (3).

Grandparents are Wayne and Jane Meyer of New Albin, Sheri Honn of Victoria, MN and Rick Mathis of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Vivian Andregg of Waukon, Meryle Honn of Waukon, Georgianna Gavin of Lansing and Joan Meyer of New Albin.

Katie Winters of Waukon announces the birth of her daughter, Sydney Winters, November 1, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs., 7.6 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Sophia (23 months). Her grandmother is Pam Winters of Waukon.

Nick and Lana Dahlstrom of New Albin announce the birth of their son, Caleb RoDen Dahlstrom, October 2, 2014 at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. He weighed 8 lbs., 6 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins two siblings, Breelyn (6) and Tegan (4).
Grandparents are Roger and Joan Weymiller of New Albin and Dennis and Joan Dahlstrom of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Shirley Weymiller of New Albin, Wanda Anderson of Waukon and Norma Dahlstrom of Waukon.

Noami Walker and Robert Riley of Lansing announce the birth of their daughter, Nevaeh Sue Riley-Walker, October 23, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs., 1.8 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth.
Grandparents are June Walker and Mike Kerns of Lansing and Theresa Weekly of Waterloo. Great-grandparents are Tammy and Steve Walker of Waterloo and Joann Philips of Waterloo.

Drew and Taylor Pape of Luana announce the birth of their son, Brexten Roy Pape, October 25, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs., 1.2 ozs. and measured 21-3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Ainsley (1-1/2).
Grandparents are Sona and Richie Ellis of Lansing, Jerry and Lynette Kansier of Monona and Dan and Janice Pape of Luana. Great-grandparents are Iva Corbitt, Dave and Brenda Speicher of Fredericksburg, Sharon Peters of Monona and Bill and Cookie Ellis of California. Great-great-grandfather is Roy Speicher of Fredericksburg.

Max and Cindy Schulte of Port Deposit, MD announce the birth of their daughter, Avalynn Christine Ann Schulte, October 5, 2014. She weighed 8 lbs., 7 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Roehrey (2-1/2).

Jade Smith and George Fruth of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Leela Belle Fruth, October 22, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs., 10 ozs. and measured 18 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Kaylynne (4).
Grandparents are Pamela Hitchcock of Waukon and Ricky Fruth of De Soto, WI.

Harold and Shirley Marti were married November 13, 1954. They have four children, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. They plan to celebrate the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary with their family at a later date.

Scott and Jill (Roth) Manning were married November 18, 1989 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon. They will celebrate the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary with an open house Saturday, November 15 at First Baptist Church in Waukon from 2-5 p.m. The event will be hosted by their children, Zachary and Jordan.

Dr. Frank Norden recently celebrated his 100th birthday at Evergreen Court Senior Apartments in Waukon, where he resides. His daughters, Kristen and Margaret, were in attendance at the party, along with other Evergreen Court tenants and friends.
