Emily and Jesse Spors of Marion announce the birth of their son, Karter Joseph Spors, December 9, 2015 at St. Luke's Birth Care Center, Cedar Rapids. He weighed 9 lbs. 4.2 ozs., and measured 21 inches at his birth.
Grandparents are Mark and Barb Howe of Waukon, and Steve and the late Teresa Spors of Ettrick, WI.

Agnes Magdaline Johnson Anderson will be celebrating a "special" birthday Friday, January 22. Helping her celebrate will be her husband of 69 years, Bob; their children, Linda (Dean) Krambeer, Larry (Maggie) Anderson and Lori (Randy) Hesse; eight grandchildren, Cori (Kevin), Dena (Bob), Tom (Kelsey), Russ (Elsa), Josh (Jessica), Zach (Alissa), Heath (Jill) and Heidi (Chris); and nine great-grandchildren, Amelia, Max, Kathryn, Henley, Thea, Solveig, Sid, Veda and Grady.

Michelle and Jason Kofoed of Marion announce the birth of their son, Owen Michael Kofoed, December 12, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. He weighed 6 lbs. 7 ozs., and measured 19.25 inches at his birth.
Grandparents are Dana and Marcia Fink of Perry, and Chris and Lisa Kofoed of West Branch. Great-grandparents are Velma McDowell of Perry, Audrey Kofoed of West Branch, and the late Harris "Shooky" and Lorraine Fink.

Brian and Sunny Lange of Dorchester announce the birth of their son, Westin Allen Lange, January 5, 2016, at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 2 ozs., and measured 21 inches at his birth. Westin Allen joins siblings Cael (6), and Garner (7).
Grandparents are Mark and Pat Lange of Freeburg, MN, and Jane Benson of La Crosse, WI. Great-grandmother is Vi Lange of Caledonia, MN.

Morgan Heim, daughter of Tom and Bev Heim of New Albin, and Shawn Bjerke, son of Bob and Cheryl Bjerke of Waukon, were united in marriage October 3, 2015 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Dorchester.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Tom Heim. Frank Heim, uncle of the bride, served as lector; and Mason and Madison Heim, cousins of the bride, were altar servers.

The bride wore an a-line tulle ballgown with champagne overlay and a gold embroidered and beaded bodice. She partnered the gown with a traditional cathedral length veil and blusher. Her ivory bouquet of roses and hydrangeas was tipped with gold.
The bridesmaids and usherettes wore floor length chiffon a-line navy gowns with a lace bodice and key-hole back. The personal attendants wore knee-length all lace navy gowns and the flower girls wore ivory tulle gowns with a gold sequined bodice.

Jennifer and Nicholas Byrnes of Dorchester announce the birth of their daughter, Willa Bay Byrnes, December 28, 2015, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 ozs., and measured 20 inches at her birth. Willa Bay joins brother Silas (2).

Pete and Denise Mauss of Lansing announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Elizabeth Mauss, December 17, 2015, at Gundersen-Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 ozs., and measured 19 inches at her birth. Emma Elizabeth joins brother Noah (3).

Mika Petersen and David Gerber of Decorah announce the birth of their daughter, Freyja Mei Petersen, December 26, 2015, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs., and measured 22 inches at her birth. Freyja Mei joins siblings Lula Mae McAbee (4), and Zoe May Gerber (6).
Grandparents are Jan Cordell of Decorah, Randy and Lizbeth Gerber of Laredo, TX, Mary Petersen of Wapello, and Dick Gordy of Danville. Great-grandparents are James and Norma Adams of Lake Mills.

Rebecca Schnabel, daughter of Lester and Eva Schnabel of Sheffield, and Jared Winkie, son of Brad and Linda Winkie of Waukon, exchanged vows August 22, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Hampton. The Rev. Karl Bollhagen officiated the ceremony, and Michelle Stille, friend of the bride, was the Soloist.
Maid of Honor was Paula Schnabel, sister of the bride, and Matron of Honor was Laura Hegtvedt, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids included Mariah Jorgensen, friend of the bride, Michelle Winkie, sister of the groom, Krystal Schnabel, sister in law of the bride. Flower Girl was Lillian Schnabel, niece of the bride. The bride's personal attendants were Maddy LeDuc and DeAnn Scott-Harp, friends of the bride.
Best Man was Luke Schulte, friend of the groom.
