Ken Olson, MD and Will Ament have volunteered to co-chair the Robey Memorial Library Capital Campaign. The capital fundraising campaign is designed to raise funding for expanding the Robey Memorial Library in Waukon. The expansion project has been planned for over 10 years by library trustees and foundation members.

The Waukon Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from community residents for Waukon’s “Person of the Year” honor.

Boy Scouts from Waukon's Troop 64 will be conducting their annual Christmas tree pickup Saturday, January 7 beginning at 9 a.m. Christmas trees should be left curbside for pickup.

Northeast Iowa Community College's Waukon Center will host a meet and greet event with the college's president, Dr. Liang Chee Wee, Thursday, January 12 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

The Allamakee County Farm Bureau is sponsoring a Hat & Mitten drive by placing containers in several locations around the county. According to Allamakee County Farm Bureau President Matthew Emerson, the goal is to collect many hats, mittens, snow pants and scarves that will be distributed to local schools in December, to be given to children in need of these items.
