Rita Mae Ward, 90, of Waukon passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon after a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 15 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon, with Fr. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Waukon.
Pallbearers were Robert, Dennis, Patrick, Gerald, Thomas and Scott Ward. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Hanson Funeral Home of Waukon assisted the family with arrangements.

Kaitlyn Quandahl, age five, of Decorah died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. Funeral Services were held at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Decorah Friday, June 7, with Rev. Nancy Solomonson and Rev. Matt Larson officiating.
Interment was at Hauge Lutheran Cemetery, rural Decorah. Casketbearers were Adam Kurth, Garrett Kurth, Chris Riley, Casey Quandahl, John Quandahl and Jason Quandahl. Schluter-Balik Funeral Home of Decorah assisted the family with arrangements.

Katheryn Kaye Ellenbolt, 72, of Lansing died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her home in Lansing. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, June 5 at the United Methodist Church in Lansing, with Rev. Kevin Smith as the officiant. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing.
Katheryn was born February 24, 1941 to LeRoy and Jean (Bloxham) Ellenbolt in Postville. She graduated from Lansing High School.

Harry Del Lamphier, 78, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at his home in Fayette. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, also at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon. Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting the family with arrangements.

Vincent L. Mathis, 84, of Waukon died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, June 3 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon, with Fr. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waukon.
Vincent Leo Mathis was born July 20, 1928 in Lansing, the first of four children born to Leo and Frieda (Wendler) Mathis. Vince attended the Prairie country school until seventh grade, then graduated from the Waterville Consolidated School in 1946. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s in Paint Rock.

Margaret A. Brainard, 87, of Waukon died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at Forest Mills United Methodist Church in rural Postville, with Rev. Richard Iles officiating. Burial will be at Postville Cemetery, Postville. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Marjorie Catherine Troendle, age 93, of Churchtown passed away June 1, 2013 at Northgate Care Center in Waukon after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lycurgus with Father Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Lycurgus Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 at Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon, who is assisting the family with arrangements. Scripture service will be at 5 p.m.
