Nestled in the foothills of Mt. Hosmer at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lansing was the unique and intimate setting for the Celebration of Marriage for Jordan Michael Duffy and Ricki Lee Greilinger. The starting line-up for the May 25, 2024 celebration included: Matron of Honor Beth Platten; Maid of Honor Brandi Olson; and Bridesmaids Ireland Berns, Chandran Lapel and Cheyanne Steiber. The groom’s starting line-up was Best Men Dustan Duffy and Jacob Johnson (deceased); and Groomsmen Zach Halverson, Andy Lapel and Dan Mohn.

Family and friends were graciously ushered by Dustin Darling, Nathan Fink and Tom Becker. The Batgirls were nieces Kenleigh Sizemore, Landry Laine and Larkin Lapel. They distributed “Happy Tear Tissues” to the guests from their baskets. The Baseball Pop-Up Shower Crew included Ashlyn, Rylie and Dawsan Imhoff, and Isaac Clime.

The Livingood Family Reunion will be held in the downstairs FreedomBank Community Room at 201 West Main Street in Waukon Sunday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year’s reunion will include a potluck lunch. Friends and relatives are invited.

Reggie Vine and Shana Berns of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Haelynn Michelle Vine, born June 10, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Nolan Vine (6).

Grandparents are Steve and Patty Coldebella and Randy and Michelle Vine of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Janice Dougherty and Ruth Vine, both of Waukon.

The Brainard Family Reunion was held Sunday, June 2 at the Jaycees Shelter in the Waukon City Park. In addition to the family reunion, this event was a celebration of the 80th birthdays of George and Kathy Brainard of Waukon. Darnell Burroughs and Lauryn Fogt of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Kash Wayne Burroughs, born May 24, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, JD Burroughs (4).

Grandparents are Al Fogt, Shelle Fogt, Jackie Willie and Brian Burroughs. Great-grandparents are Sandy Troendle, Dean and Sue Burroughs, and Richard Lessard.
 

Donald and Julie Russell of DeWitt will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Donald Russell and Julie Snitker exchanged vows June 8, 1974 at Zalmona Presbyterian Church, Waukon.

Their children include Tina (Zach) Summers of DeWitt and Travis (Julie) Russell of Burlington. They have also been blessed with five grandchildren. The couple plans to celebrate their anniversary with their family Saturday, June 8 in DeWitt.

Peyton Verthein and Joseph Hennessy of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Jacksyn Julius Hennessy, born May 17, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Myles Hennessy (2).

Grandparents are Krystal Grotegut and Eric Verthein and Leah and Andy Hennessy, all of Waukon.

Carter and Jasmine Snitker of Farmersburg announce the birth of their son, Kolson David Snitker, born May 17, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Layne Snitker (2).

Grandparents are Jenny and Quentin Schutte of Luana, Kevin Stocker of Waukee, Michelle Kishman of Prairie du Chien, WI, Kurt Kishman of Farmersburg and Bob Snitker of Rossville. Great-grandparents are Kermit and Cathy White of Postville, Ken and Kathy Stocker of Morning Sun, Luther and Cindy Schutte of Luana, Sharon Costello of Lansing and Mel Kishman of Farmersburg.

Jeff Allison and Salina Basten of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Jack Robert Allison, born May 18, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Reese Allison (3-1/2).

Grandparents are Jack and Diane Allison of Waukon, Sue Basten and Ken Boeckenstedt of Edgewood, and Bob Basten of Edgewood. Great-grandparents are Myrna and Harry Culbertson of Edgewood.

Cody and Christine Kubitz announce the birth of their son, Kolton Kubitz, born May 10, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Klayton Kubitz (5).

Grandparents are Chris and Rebecca Wagner of Clinton and Bob and Tracy Kubitz of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Doug and Sharon Kubitz.
