Bulman Reunion scheduled for Sunday, July 21 in Eitzen, MN

The 64th annual reunion of the Bulman, Hartley, Sadler, and Beardmore families is scheduled for Sunday, July 21 at the Community Center in Eitzen, MN. A potluck meal will be served at 12:30 p.m. with a meeting to follow.

The five Bulman ancestors who came to America from Little Thetford, England in the 1850s were Thomas, George, William, John and their sister, Mary Bulman Sadler. All descendants of these early settlers are cordially invited to attend this reunion meal. Beverages will be provided. Those planning to attend are asked to bring their own table service, family pictures and stories to share.

A Sunday morning church service will be held at the “home church,” Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church, rural New Albin at 9 a.m.

Dillon and Abie Daniel of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Miles Lucas Daniel, born June 24, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Livvy (3) and Owen (2).

Grandparents are Clark and Sheila Mellick of Waukon, Quentin and Gena Plate of Oskaloosa, and Mark and Diane Daniel of Chariton. Great-grandparents are Mary Fahey of Waukon and Tom and Mary Mellick of Waukon.

Kollin and Bobbi Jo Berg of Lansing announce the birth of their son, Huey Robert Berg, born June 14, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Hank (4) and Hope (2).

Grandparents are Bob and Bonnie Wild of Lansing and Doug and Teresa Berg of Frankville. Theresa Lyons of Waukon is a great-grandparent.

Dr. Steven and Judy Kurth 50th wedding anniversary

Dr. Steven and Judy Kurth are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary June 22. The couple met while they were both students at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). They married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Monona. The couple moved to Iowa City where Steven attended dental school and Judy taught at Regina High School. They moved to Waukon in 1979.

The couple has three children, Blaine (Crystal) Kurth, Ross Kurth and Brooke (Jason) Troendle. Together they have built four dental practices, where they are both still working. They have also been blessed with five granddaughters including Berlin, Willa and Sawyer Troendle, and Madi and Molly Kurth. Plans are in place for their children and grandchildren to take the couple to Lake Geneva to celebrate their anniversary.

Greilinger, Duffy exchange wedding vows in Lansing

Nestled in the foothills of Mt. Hosmer at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lansing was the unique and intimate setting for the Celebration of Marriage for Jordan Michael Duffy and Ricki Lee Greilinger. The starting line-up for the May 25, 2024 celebration included: Matron of Honor Beth Platten; Maid of Honor Brandi Olson; and Bridesmaids Ireland Berns, Chandran Lapel and Cheyanne Steiber. The groom’s starting line-up was Best Men Dustan Duffy and Jacob Johnson (deceased); and Groomsmen Zach Halverson, Andy Lapel and Dan Mohn.

Family and friends were graciously ushered by Dustin Darling, Nathan Fink and Tom Becker. The Batgirls were nieces Kenleigh Sizemore, Landry Laine and Larkin Lapel. They distributed “Happy Tear Tissues” to the guests from their baskets. The Baseball Pop-Up Shower Crew included Ashlyn, Rylie and Dawsan Imhoff, and Isaac Clime.

The Livingood Family Reunion will be held in the downstairs FreedomBank Community Room at 201 West Main Street in Waukon Sunday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year’s reunion will include a potluck lunch. Friends and relatives are invited.
