Peyton Verthein and Joseph Hennessy of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Jacksyn Julius Hennessy, born May 17, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Myles Hennessy (2).

Grandparents are Krystal Grotegut and Eric Verthein and Leah and Andy Hennessy, all of Waukon.

Carter and Jasmine Snitker of Farmersburg announce the birth of their son, Kolson David Snitker, born May 17, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Layne Snitker (2).

Grandparents are Jenny and Quentin Schutte of Luana, Kevin Stocker of Waukee, Michelle Kishman of Prairie du Chien, WI, Kurt Kishman of Farmersburg and Bob Snitker of Rossville. Jeff Allison and Salina Basten of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Jack Robert Allison, born May 18, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Reese Allison (3-1/2).

Grandparents are Jack and Diane Allison of Waukon, Sue Basten and Ken Boeckenstedt of Edgewood, and Bob Basten of Edgewood. Great-grandparents are Myrna and Harry Culbertson of Edgewood.

Cody and Christine Kubitz announce the birth of their son, Kolton Kubitz, born May 10, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Klayton Kubitz (5).

Grandparents are Chris and Rebecca Wagner of Clinton and Bob and Tracy Kubitz of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Doug and Sharon Kubitz.

Ainsly Lydon and Wyatt Kiley of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Oakley Irene Kiley, born May 6, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 12 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Oliver Kiley (2).

Nicholas Howe and  Brooke Grotegut of Luana announce the birth of their son, Odin Michael Howe, born May 6, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 21-3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Zayne (9), Maison (8) and Quinnleigh (15 months).

Shane and Liz Murphy of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Anne Rose Murphy, born April 21, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 0.3 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Miles (7), Mila (5) and Lachlan (2).

Kevin and Trish Martin of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Owen David Martin, born April 23, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 5 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 17-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Brooklyn (15), Alexis (12) and Mason (6).

Grandparents are Walter and Peggy Martin of Waukon and Lorraine and the late Linda Kalke of Decorah.

Members of the Waukon Senior High Class of 1970 will celebrate their 54th reunion Saturday, September 28 of this year at the Empty Nest Winery, located at 1352 Apple Road in rural Waukon. A 5:30 p.m. social hour will be followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and then a short program.

Those in the Waukon High School Class of 1970, as well as faculty and staff from that era, are invited to attend.
