Curtis and Joyce Anderson of Waukon are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. The couple married October 26, 1958 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg.

Their family includes their son, Bruce, who farms with his wife, Lynn, near Waterville, and two grandchildren including Jennie (Jared) Torkelson of North Mankato, MN and Ian (Marissa) Anderson of Waukon. A great-grandchild, Tate Anderson, was welcomed September 15 of this year.

Dennis and Judy (Schwartzhoff) Byrnes of rural Waukon will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house at the home of Greg and Amy Byrnes Saturday, October 28 from 4:30-8 p.m. They were married November 9, 1963 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dorchester.

They are the parents of seven children, Jeff (Martha) Byrnes of New Albin, Wayne (Jane) Byrnes of Waukon, Karen (Darryl)  Frana of Decorah, Brad Byrnes (Vicki Bigley) of Pueblo, CO, Greg (Amy) Byrnes of Dorchester, Beth (Jason) Simpson of Cedar Falls and Matt (Michelle) Byrnes of Dorchester. They have been blessed with 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Eric and Lane Rich of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Michael David Rich, born October 8, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins sisters, Knightley (11), Natalie (8) and Catherine (2).

Grandparents are Mark and Deb Palmer of Waukon and Dave and Vicky Rich of Algona. Great-grandparents are Wayne and Sandra Fish of Waukon.

Jacob and Myriah Dougherty of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Elsie Elaine Dougherty, born September 15, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Dan and Alicia Weber of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Brayden Thomas Weber, born September 18, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 23 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Patrick and Cindy Weber of Cedar Falls and David and Mary Humphrey of Ixonia, WI. Arelene Weber of Sioux Falls, SD is a great-grandparent.

Parents Marlene Imhoff Duffy and James Duffy, Beth and Gary Platten, and Greg and Sheri Greilinger announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Ricki Greilinger of Waukon and Jordan Duffy of Waukon.
