Members of the Waukon High School Class of 1965 will celebrate their 60-year reunion Thursday, May 22 at Empty Nest Winery, located at 1352 Apple Road in rural Waukon. The event will begin with a gathering at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m.

Matthew and Emily Meyer of Monona announce the birth of their daughter, Kinley Kate Meyer, born April 3, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. Grandparents are Leon and Anne Meyer of Monona and Jeff and Tammy Kinley of McGregor.

Shawn and Ashlee Lloyd of Waterville announce the birth of their son, Tucker Daniel Lloyd, born March 28, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 2 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Avery (7) and Cohen (1).

Grandparents are Mike and Gwen Lloyd of Harpers Ferry, Shelly Scherf of Harpers Ferry, and Joel and Kelsey Scherf of Backus, MN.

Mike and Kaley McKee of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Eldon Heath McKee, born March 28, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins twin sisters, Mabel and Fern (3), and a brother, Adler (2).

Grandparents are Jack and Cindy Heffern of Harpers Ferry, Diane McKee of Waukon and Dean McKee of Lansing. Great-grandparents are Joan Ewing of Lansing, Ron and Carol Opfer of Waukon and Carol Schaefer of Lansing.

Karina Nunez and Edgar Camacho of Postville announce the birth of their son, Alejandro Jr. Camacho Nunez, born March 31, 2025 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Raul Camacho (19), Moncerrat Camacho (17) and Roxana Camacho (4).

Grandparents are Estela Vega and Rene Acosta of Postville, and Isabel Nunez and Ismael Camacho of Mexico.

Mick Geving Streicher, son of Brad and Emily Streicher of Edgewood, received the sacrament of Holy Baptism Sunday, February 2, 2025. Mick was baptized at Trinity United Methodist Church in Edgewood by Pastor Mike Jackson, Pastor Neil Hofer and Pastor Kathy Rempe.

Godparents are Aaron and Sarah Prestemon of Dorchester, and Ethan Streicher of Waterloo and Maddy Streicher of Indianola. Mick wore a baptismal gown that was worn by his grandfather Dave Prestemon in 1958 and his great-grandfather James Prestemon in 1930.

Kelly and Cade Holub of Buckingham announce the birth of their son, Callaway Norman Holub, born February 20, 2025 at MercyOne Hospital in Waterloo. He weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Kayce Holub.
