Eldean LaVerne Knapp, 83, of Harpers Ferry passed away Sunday, February 3 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral Services were held Friday, February 8 at the Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor. Burial will be held at a later date.
Eldean was the son of John LaVerne and Clarice (Kohl) Knapp. He was born December 19, 1929 on Pleasant Ridge, rural Marquette. He attended rural school on Pleasant Ridge.
Eldean farmed with his parents. He was drafted into the Army and served his country honorably during the Korean conflict.

Leo M. Halverson, 79, of Lansing died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Funeral services were held Friday, February 8 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.

Jack F. Duffy, 86, of Waukon died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Northgate Care Center in Waukon. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 5 at Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon, with Pastor Samantha Houser officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will be at Phelps Cemetery, Decorah in the spring.

Marguerite Ann Violante of Chandler, AZ, formerly of Syossett, NY and New Albin, passed peacefully in her sleep Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the age of 93 years.

Mrs. Viola A. Manning-Strub, age 85, of Lansing closed the last chapter of her earthly life January 31, 2013 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, February 4 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Lansing with Rev. John Moser as the celebrant. Interment was held in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing.

John S. Gray, age 73, a resident of Glendale Heights, IL, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 9 from 3 p.m. until the time of a memorial service to be held at 4 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private.

Mildred Zeller, 93, of Harpers Ferry died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Funeral Services will be held at Hopcroft Funeral Home in Madison Heights, MI at a later date. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Lansing assisted with local arrangements.

Harry Greenwell, 68, of New Albin passed away January 31, 2013, following a battle with cancer. Harry has chosen cremation and requested there be no funeral or visitation at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Eunice Mathilda Bushman, 77, of Clermont died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, February 1 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Clermont, with Rev. Dale Rausch as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Clermont.
