Eunice M. Bushman, 77, of Clermont died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 31 from 4-8 p.m., with a 4 p.m. Parish Scripture Service, at the Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Clermont. Visitation will also be held one hour before mass time Friday, February 1 at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Clermont. The Rev. Dale Rausch will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Clermont.

James Melvin Kallevang, 100 years old, of Cresco passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013, which was the eight-year death anniversary of his wife, Ruth. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 30 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Cresco, with Pastor Robert Thacker officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Jim was born April 17, 1912 in rural Winneshiek County, Decorah to Julius and Helga Kallevang. He attended school in Springfield Township near Decorah. Jim married Ruth Mundt May 5, 1938 at Zion Lutheran Church in Castalia.

Jack Joseph Griffin, 85, of Rochester, MN passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 31 at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 4135 18th Avenue NW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 30 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Oakwood East Cemetery, Rochester, MN.

Thelma Mae Armstrong, 76, of Silvercrest in Anamosa, formerly of Springville, passed away Saturday January 26, 2013 at Silvercrest after a long illness. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 30 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Rev. Karen Downey Beals will officiate. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 29.

Jackie (Schwartzhoff) Skowronski, age 70, passed away January 19, 2013 in Evergreen Park, IL. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Jackie was born November 10, 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan; an infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth; her father, Al "Scoop" Schwartzhoff; and a sister, Sherri.

Margaret “Peggy” Beecher, age 90, of Elma passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Colonial Manor in Elma. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, January 28 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elma. Burial will be at a later date.

Leo “Lee” Damien Barrette, age 82, of Mineral Point, WI entered eternal life January 18, 2013. He was welcomed home by his wife of nearly 60 years, Kathryn A. (Sherman) Barrette. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, January 28 at Sts. Mary & Paul Catholic Church in Mineral Point, WI, with Fr. Monte Robinson officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Herbert Curtis Trappe, 83, of Monona died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. Funeral Services were held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Living Faith United Methodist Parish in Monona, with Rev. Dennis Hopes as the officiant. Interment will follow in the Monona Cemetery, Monona.
Herbert was born September, 2, 1929 to Victor and Ella (Kurth) Trappe in Monona. He attended country school east of Monona through the eighth grade and graduated from Monona High School, Monona.

Irvin Elmer Flage slept away to meet his master Friday morning, January 25, 2013 at Barthell Order of Eastern Star Home in Decorah, the result of Congestive Heart Failure. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Private Family Inurnment will be in Bethlehem Presbyterian Cemetery in rural Postville.
Irvin was born June 30, 1923, the son of Benjamin and Meta (Held) Flage in rural Postville. He was a 1941 graduate from Waukon High School, where he excelled in the track program.

Carlton “Carl” Johnson, 60, of Lansing died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in rural Harpers Ferry due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services were held Monday, January 21 at 6 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Pastor Joanne Richmond and Rev. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg officiating.
