A continued effort to control spending and other expenses has resulted in a third straight month of nearly $70,000 in profit for Veterans Memorial Hospital (VMH), according to a report given at the Tuesday, March 22 meeting of the VMH Board of Trustees. The last three months of December, January and February have averaged right in the neighborhood of $72,000 in net income for the hospital, currently boosting the facility past its fiscal year goal of maintaining a four-percent profit margin.
