On December 19, our beloved Mom and Nana became our Angel. Surrounded by loved ones, she made her way home.
Beverly was born April 8, 1935 in Los Angeles, California. She attended area schools and graduated from Venice High School in 1935.  

Barbara Ann Kesl, 51, of Elberon died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in her home following a sudden illness.  Services were held Monday, January 6 at the Hrabak Funeral Home.  Burial was be in National Cemetery, Vining.   

Phyllis Marie Hurm, 84, of Las Vegas, NV, previously a resident of La Crosse, WI passed away December 26, 2013.
Phyllis was born Sept. 5, 1929 in Chicago, IL to the late Harold and the late Martha (Lier) Hurm. A devoted Catholic, Phyllis had a great faith in Jesus and she passed this love and faith on to her daughter. A woman of many interests and talents, she worked as a caregiver to the elderly, a writer for the Prior Lake Newspaper (MN), an employment agent and a salesperson. She had a love of the arts as well as traveling, football, hiking and boating.

Sally J. Zimmerman, 80, of Waukon, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 4 at Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon with Pastor Samantha Houser officiating. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.

Robert J. Goze, 81, of Mundelein, IL (formerly of De Soto, WI) passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.

Mary Irene (Melavin) O’Brien, 92, of Dubuque, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Oak Park Place.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, January 2 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church with Rev.  Dwayne Thoman officiating. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post 6.   Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Road is in charge of arrangements.

Jeffery Lane Teslow, 47, of Ossian, formerly of Decorah,  died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN. Jeff was born November 25, 1966 in Decorah to Nathan and Ruby (Hesse) Teslow. He graduated from Decorah High School with the class of 1986.

April Ann Martin, age 55, of Waseca, MN, formerly of Nashua, died Saturday morning, December 28, 2013 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua with Pastor Okitakoyi Lundula presiding. Online condolences for April's family may be left at hugebackfuneralhome.com.

Bernadine “Deenie” Mulholland, 95, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Amana. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Rev. Ivan Nienhaus officiated with private family burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cara LaVerna Foster, 83, of Postville, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at  her son’s home in Ogden. She was born July 4, 1930 to Cleveland Justice and Minnie Ethel (White) McCormick in Holland, MO.  Cara graduated from Patterson High School in Missouri, attended the University of Missouri and graduated from Cape Girardeau School of Beauty Culture at Cape Girardeau, MO. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Piedmont, MO.
