Vernon F. Gallagher, 95, of Waukon, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 28, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon. Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waukon.  

Kohbey J. Lawson, 20, of Waukon, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his home in Waukon. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 7, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery, in rural Dorchester. Friends may call one hour before the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Charles J. Bulman, 89, of Waukon, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his home in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon with Pastor Grant VanderVelden officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Jeffery Lane Teslow, 47, of Ossian, formerly of Decorah, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at Schmitz-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Ossian and one hour before services at the church Friday.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Glenwood Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa with Rev. Stacey Nalean-Carlson as the officiant.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.

David Schroeder, age 53, of Big Lake, MN, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family December 6, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, MN.  A Memorial service will be held at Saron Lutheran Church, 311 Lake St. S., Big Lake, MN January 11 at 1 p.m. Lunch will follow. Private interment. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello, MN.

Gene R. Yeoman, 83, of Lansing died peacefully at his home in Lansing Friday, December 20, 2013. Funeral Services were held Monday, December 23 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lansing, with Rev. Kevin Smith as the Officiant. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing with Military Honors by Lansing VFW Post #5981.
Gene was born August 18, 1930 to Mitchell and Clara (Fish) Yeoman in La Crosse, WI. Gene entered the United States Army in 1951, served in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1953.

Lela Jane McShane, 83, of Luana passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, WI. Funeral Services were held Saturday, December 21 at Living Faith United Methodist Parish in Monona, with Rev. Dennis Hopes as the Officiant. Interment was held in the Sixteen Cemetery, rural Monona.

Willard Wiegrefe, age 89, of Spring Grove, MN, formerly of Eitzen, MN, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Tweeten Lutheran Healthcare in Spring Grove, MN. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 15 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Eitzen, MN, with Reverend Mark Bengtston officiating. Burial will be in the St. Luke’s Church Cemetery.

Audrey D. Groezinger, 91, of Waukon died Monday, December 9, 2013 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Memorial services will be held at a later date in the spring of 2014. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting with arrangements.
Audrey Dorothy Groezinger was born March 3, 1922 in Saukville, WI, the daughter of Anton and Ada (Snitker) DeBuhr. Her family moved to Waukon when she was a young girl and she graduated from Waukon High School. Audrey then graduated from cosmetology school in Dubuque.

Rita M. Asleson, 92, formerly of Spring Green, WI, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, December 14 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green, WI, with Fr. Mike Resop officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
