Dr. Vernon “Doc” Hanson, 81, of Monona died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, WI. Funeral Services were held Friday, February 28 at Old West Paint Creek Lutheran Church in rural Waukon, with Rev. Ken Kimball as the Officiant. Burial with Military Honors followed at Old West Paint Creek Cemetery in rural Waukon.

Earl J. Moore, 92, of New Albin passed away peacefully Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, February 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Albin, with Rev. John Moser as the Celebrant. Burial followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Albin.

Judith Marcella Grampovnik, 66, of Lansing died Monday, February 17, 2014 at her home in Lansing with her husband and children by her side. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, February 22 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lansing, with Rev. John Moser as the Celebrant. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Platteville, WI.
Judy was born April 1, 1947 to John Leonard and Nellie (Steinbach) Harty in Platteville, WI. Judy graduated from Platteville High School in 1965 and received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from UW-Platteville in 1970.

Sue M. Hansmeier, 67, of Waukon died Monday, February 17, 2014 at her home in Waukon. Memorial services were held Wednesday, February 19 at Echo Valley Banquet Center in West Union, with Pastor Galen Smith officiating. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon assisted the family with arrangements.

Lawrence E. Stluka, age 85, of rural Prairie du Chien, WI passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, February 25 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, with Rev. Victor Feltes officiating and burial in the Campbell Cemetery, all in Eastman, WI.

Todd Patrick Scott, 49, of Waterville died Saturday, February 22, 2014 in rural Waterville. Visitation will be held Friday, February 28 from 3-6 p.m. at the Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of McGregor. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Friday at the Spillway Supper Club in Harpers Ferry following the visitation.

Lorraine Louise (Hammel) Moericke, age 89, of Glendive, MT, formerly of New Albin, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive. A Scripture Service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Albin, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. with Father John Moser officiating. Rite of Committal with military honors will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in New Albin.

Lorraine G. Shogren, 87, of Waukon died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 18 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Pastor Eddie Cabrera officiating. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.

Donna Sivesind, 76, of Waukon died Friday, February 14, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 19 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon, with Rev. Lynn Groe officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 18 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Geneva C. Burckart, 82, of Houston, MN, formerly of Monona, died Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, February 18 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Hokah, MN, with Rev. Pratap Reddy Salibindla officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Monona.
Geneva was born September 26, 1931 in Green Island to Eugene and Edith (McMahon) Ottaway. She married Frederick Burckart May 25, 1948 in Elkader.
