Sam Bacon, 56, of Postville died Friday, March 28, 2014. Visitation will be Thursday, April 3 from 3-8 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Hall in Postville and one hour before services at the church Friday, April 4. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, with Rev. Gary Catterson as the Officiant. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Rodney D.  Meiners, 76, of Eitzen, MN died peacefully Friday, March 21, 2014 at Tweeten Lutheran Healthcare Center in Spring Grove, MN. Memorial services were held Friday, March 28 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, Eitzen, MN, with Rev. Steven E. Meyer officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Steven R. Honn, 61, of Waukon died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at his home in rural Waukon. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.
Steven Roy Honn was born August 20, 1952 in Waukon, the son of Roger Honn and Eileen (Livingood) Hammon. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Waukon and in 1971 he graduated from Waukon High School. From 1972-1974, Steve served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for one year.

Vincent Mullarkey, age 84, of Winterset passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Westbridge Care and Rehab Center in Winterset. A funeral mass was held Tuesday, March 25 at St. Joseph’s Church in Winterset. Burial was at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Lansing.

Mary Ann Kugel, 81, of Waukon died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Waukon, with Rev. Duane Smith officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Darlene Sivesind, 91, of Waukon died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services were held Monday, March 24 at Glenwood Lutheran Church in rural Decorah, with Pastor Stacey Nalean-Carlson officiating. Burial was at Glenwood East Cemetery, rural Decorah.

Nora M. Stamper, 92, of Waukon died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 25 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon, with Rev. Lynn G. Groe officiating. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.
Nora Margaret Stamper was born June 21, 1921 in Ossian, the daughter of Edward Ludvig and Tomina Johanna (Assnes) Grimstad. She was baptized in Ossian and confirmed at Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church in rural Waterville. Nora attended schools in Ossian, Marquette and McGregor.

Francis Henry Wagner, 90, of Elkader, formerly of Lansing, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Central Community Hospital in Elkader. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, March 21 at Wexford - Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, rural Lansing, with the Rev. John Moser as the Celebrant. Interment will be at the Wexford-Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery, rural Lansing.
Francis was born September 9, 1923 in Lafayette Township, rural Lansing to Henry and Mary (Donahue) Wagner. He attended Russell Country School through the eighth grade.

Thomas K. Moore, 91, of Rockford, IL passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Funeral Mass was held Saturday, March 22 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Rockford, IL. Burial was in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Lyle Stegen, age 80, of Decorah died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Northgate Care Center in Waukon. Funeral Service was held Thursday, March 20 at Big Canoe Lutheran Church, Decorah, with Rev. Kathy Wicks officiating. Interment was in Iowa River Cemetery, Decorah with graveside Military Rites by the Decorah Veterans Group.
